Style & Serendipity
I could not believe how closely my thrift store top matched the painted mural that graced one of the buildings in Pietermaai. Like literally, I have been looking for a ‘dad style Hawaiian shirt,’as I call it, all summer and found one right before my trip at Beacon’s Closet in Williamsburg. And go figure, I stumbled upon a painting with the exact same colors and even line patterns as the detail on my “dad shirt,” helping me to truly blend in to my surroundings. Serendipity, as Gabby mentioned the day before we left for our trip, when “Facebook memories” reminded me that 8 years ago Gabby posted on my wall: “hey love, how are you?” Coincidence? I think not. Serendipity? Probably.
