Combating Sickness through Style
I have been incredibly sick since I first arrived and have barely been able to do anything except stay in the house, take medicine and rest. Before I left NYC, I had come down with a cold because of the up-and-down weather (shout-out to global warming) and I was trying hard to fight it before I left but it was still lingering. Then, when I flew to Spain the elevation of the plane caused all the mucus to rush straight to my head (sorry for the graphic and probably gross detail) which in turn gave me a slight sinus infection that I have been fighting off for a week.
I was miserable the first few days, physically, because my head felt like it would explode but finally, on Wednesday I started to smell and taste again which gave me a glimmer of hope that I could actually get out and explore. Anytime I am sick like that, once I start to feel better I like to dress up a little bit and do my make-up to get out of the funk. Am I the only one, here? And so on this day, I did just that.
My new “little sister” Ona has been my photography apprentice =D and she joined me outside to snap some photos of me. She is a natural and has quite the eye! Before I leave, I think she will be better than me at taking photos lol.
