When I met Abi Ishola on the street coming out of the A train last summer I never imagined it would lead me to taking part in an iconic and positive fashion message. Having my Brooklyn street style pic snapped that blissful sunny day was flattering enough. But when Abi asked that I model on a photo-shoot in response to the NY Times article stating that Viola Davis, star of “How to Get Away with Murder,” was “less classically beautiful,” I immediately accepted.
This experience was not only beautiful because of the stunning ladies I was blessed to be surrounded by during this campaign, but each woman’s definition of beauty painted a deeper picture than what meets the eye.
