Tracy Reese FW ’16: Jazz-Age Portraits

A Nod to Jazz at Tracy Reese

Can I just say I was mildly obsessed with Tracy Reese’s latest collection, clearly inspired by the jazz-age of the 1920’s. I normally pick out just a few of my favorites to share, but the presentation had so many gorgeous looks I ended up with multiple portraits of a good majority of the models. Doesn’t bother me- more images to help me remember covetable items next time I go to treat myself to a slight shopping spree. The presentation was also complete with a live piano player, playing smooth jazz to complement the speak-easy type ambiance. In essence, Tracy Reese embodied that sultry, mysterious and sexy aura of the 1920s jazz scene with pieces and elements updated and ready for wear today: the lace gowns, floral print flapper-style dresses, and tweed x fur outerwear are some at the top of my wish list.
