Back in the streets of NYC and I must say, I was happy to return. The lands of Morocco were good to me for sure but the red streets of Marrakech and trek to and from the mountainous blue city, Chefchaouen, had me missing the days where I thought a 15 minute walk to the train was intense lol. I missed my own room and envisioned where to place my new carpets and other goodies but I also missed kicking it with my friends!
Today, I met up with my fly homegirl, Anais (@anais_laurent) to do typical girlfriend ‘unfriendly black hottie’ stuff: sip Prosecco, empower each other and chit chat just a little bit about the fellas. She just moved here so show her some love 😉 On my way to welcome her to the city, I stopped for a few pics…I love how my chandelier necklace and handmade, leather bag from the souks of Jemaa el-Fna still worked against the brick walls and city backdrop of my Brooklyn neighborhood. However, today I exchanged my djellaba for a leather midi skirt and mustard-seed biker jacket because the wind out here was blowing me over! I thought I might fall a couple of times lol.
